Government Computer Collage (Sittway) was initially opened on 1st September, 2000. GCC(Sittway) was on Union Street, Pyay Taw Thar Quarter, Sittway, Rakhine State, Myanmar. The board of the government of Union of Myanmar upgraded it to the University of Computer Studies (Sittway) on 20th January, 2007. UCS(Sittway) is one of the higher educational institutions under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Myanmar. UCS(Sittway) is a university that offers internationally standardized courses in the fields of computer science and computer technology. The university now provides degrees in computer science and computer technology to satisfy the human resource demands for advanced technologies in computer science and computer technology both at home and abroad.Dr. Zaw Tun Ph.D (IT), Prorector, serves currently as a Head of this institution.
